The Burrata Creamery is situated in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, specifically adjacent to the Fullness Farm at the intersection of Nicholson Dr. and S. Bluebonnet. This strategic location was chosen to support the farm's production of local cheese, intended for distribution to nearby restaurants and markets. Beyond this function, the Creamery also provides a space for visitors to purchase fresh cheese directly.
My Creamery specializes in crafting Mozzarella and boasts a contemporary design with a personal touch. Although I opted for a classical architectural style, I incorporated an open concept to infuse modernity. To achieve this, I encased the Creamery with large windows on all sides. This blend of traditional and contemporary aesthetics was a deliberate choice to harmonize with the surroundings while making a distinctive statement. The careful placement of windows on every wall was driven by the desire to capture the attention of passersby, enhancing the visual appeal and drawing more visitors to the Mozzarella Creamery.
In the pursuit of an engaging experience, I devised a final concept that fosters a sense of participation in the production process. To achieve this, I included a viewing area on the second floor of the building, offering an elevated vantage point overlooking the production facility. This thoughtfully designed space allows visitors to witness the entire process of crafting mozzarella from scratch, providing an immersive and insightful encounter.
